How long does civil wedding photography coverage usually last?
Civil wedding coverage typically lasts between 2 and 4 hours.
During this time, the most important parts of your day can be documented, including the ceremony itself, congratulations afterwards, a couple portrait session and group photos with family and friends
Important note:
Short wedding coverage is only offered within Saxony and Saxony-Anhalt, preferably in and around Leipzig. For shorter bookings I do not travel to distant destinations.
Elopements and destination weddings are always documented as full-day wedding coverage.
Do we need a photographer for a civil wedding?
A civil ceremony is a once-in-a-lifetime moment. A professional wedding photographer ensures that the emotions of the ceremony and the special atmosphere surrounding it are captured authentically and beautifully.
When does the couple portrait session take place?
For shorter wedding coverage, the couple portrait session usually takes place shortly after or before the civil ceremony. Many couples choose a beautiful location near the registry office or a nearby park for relaxed and natural wedding photographs.
Can we also take group photos?
Yes, of course. After the ceremony there is usually time for group photos with family and friends. These images are often especially meaningful for couples and their loved ones.
How many photos will we receive?
Even during shorter coverage, many emotional moments are captured. You will receive a carefully curated and professionally edited gallery with the most beautiful moments of your wedding.
Where do you photograph civil weddings?
I accompany civil weddings as a Leipzig wedding photographer, primarily in Leipzig, Chemnitz, Altenburg, Zwenkau, Borna, Böhlen, Grimma, Kahnsdorf, Dresden, Halle (Saale), Naumburg, Freyburg, Weißenfels, Mücheln (Geiseltal), Merseburg. Short coverage may also be available in parts of Saxony-Anhalt, Thuringia and Brandenburg, depending on the location. For destination weddings across Germany and Europe, I offer full-day wedding coverage.
When should we book our civil wedding photographer?
Many couples book their photographer several months in advance, especially when the wedding takes place on a popular date or during the main wedding season. Early booking ensures that your desired date is still available.
Can we combine civil wedding coverage with full-day wedding photography later?
Yes — many couples choose to have a small civil ceremony first and celebrate their larger wedding on another day. In this case, you can book intimate wedding coverage for the civil ceremony and full-day wedding coverage for your larger celebration. This way both important moments of your wedding journey are documented beautifully.
